As transportation professionals, we must lead the transition toward sustainability across planning, design, construction, management, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
Today, we stand at a unique inflection point. Digital and AI technologies are unlocking extraordinary potential to transform how we promote environmentally enhancing transportation. From optimizing traffic flows and enabling predictive maintenance to accelerating the shift toward zero-carbon mobility, AI-driven innovations offer powerful tools to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and design transport systems that work in harmony with the planet. These technologies are not just enablers, they are game changers in our quest to achieve net-zero goals and redefine mobility as a force for environmental restoration.
This vision has been at the heart of the APTE Conference series since its launch in Singapore in 1998. The series continues to encourage the research and application of environmentally and socially friendly technologies across the region, fostering the exchange of ideas and hands-on experience among researchers and practitioners. As we navigate the opportunities and challenges of this new era—driven by rapid digitalization and the imperative for deep decarbonization—our collective mission has never been more critical.

This year, APTE has attracted an outstanding level of international participation, receiving 378 paper submissions from researchers representing 21 countries and regions. Following a rigorous review process, 300 papers have been selected for presentation at the conference. We are also delighted to welcome approximately 450 registered participants, reflecting the continued growth and global impact of the APTE community.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all authors who submitted their valuable research contributions, as well as to the reviewers and Technical Program Committee members whose dedication and expertise ensured the high quality of the conference program. My appreciation also extends to our keynote speakers, session organizers, sponsors, and volunteers for their invaluable support and commitment.
